Corporate responsibility

Since its inception, the Company’s strong reputation has been built on the fulfilment of its ethical and social obligations.

Our
commitment to sustainability

Our corporate sustainability strategy is supported by the three pillars of economic, environmental, and social integrity.

Strong financial governance, a proactive environmental system, and a commitment to our local community have built a sustainable future for us, and for our stakeholders.

The importance of Health & Safety

Working to the highest standards of Health & Safety, we are accredited to CHAS, SafeContractor and Constructionline. We also maintain the ISO 45001 standard, and are members of the British Safety Council

Fully trained and supported, our workers are focused knowing they’re in a secure environment, with safe and well-organised sites promoting smoother workflows and fewer disruptions.

Supporting
the local community

Our recruitment creates strong opportunities for local people. We actively engage apprentices, and source the majority of our subcontractors and materials from local SMEs.

Working in partnership with our clients, our charitable initiatives and community development projects are targeted towards our local deprived areas and the less privileged.

Case studies

Lighthouse – the Construction Charity

Lighthouse supports thousands of construction workers and their families every single year across the three pillars of Emotional, Physical and Financial Wellbeing.

As part of our corporate Mental Health initiatives, we make an annual donation to the Lighthouse Charity to help fund their valuable Helpline.

In return, Lighthouse provides us with campaign materials such as site posters, Toolbox Talks, and Helpline Cards to distribute amongst our employees.

Using these materials, our team of trained Mental Health First Aiders visit sites on a regular basis to raise awareness of the Charity. Whilst promoting the various aspects of support available, they also hold ‘open door’ meetings to discuss specific aspects of interest or concern to groups or individuals

Groundwork London

Groundwork supports people who are facing multiple challenges in places that are lacking social infrastructure and economic opportunities.
By increasing confidence, skills, wellbeing and employability, they help those out of work find jobs in the green economy.

In partnership with one of our major Framework clients, we facilitate site-based work experience to individuals wishing to enter the construction industry. In addition to providing them with the requisite Health & Safety training for site work, we mentor and train them in the practical aspects of construction.

Successful placements progress to become our full-time employees, with ongoing support for professional construction skills training.
