Services - Fabric
Fabric
SW Bruce was originally established by Stan Bruce who set up the business providing his French Polishing and wood care services. From this, in the 1960’s, Dave Messling expanded the company and grew its range of services to encompass all the standard Fabric Building trades the company now offers.
Projects
Today, SW Bruce undertakes single contract fabric led projects valuing up to £2million.
We employ over 20 fabric-biased management and supervisory staff from a range of differing trade and industry sector backgrounds, giving us a real richness in the wealth of experience of our human resources. Blended together with our Mechanical and Electrical Departments, this empowers us to offer a truly holistic approach and delivery model.
Our expertise spans all types of fabric projects, ranging from external envelope projects, including listed buildings and traditional modern roofing and waterproofing solutions, to one-off or multi-site roll-out internal refurbishments, fit out and remodelling projects and existing building extensions.
Our delivery model excels in occupied areas where our stakeholder focuses and liaison is key, providing real benefits of our experience to building users.
Reactive Maintenance
Our history is steeped in reactive contracts which form an intrinsic part of our core activities today.
We provide our customers with a fully resourced, bespoke, Repairs & Maintenance service comprising skilled tradesmen, efficient vehicles and plant, and dedicated helpdesk support.
We offer a fully automated Repairs & Maintenance management package, utilising new information technology for contract administration and management of Schedule of Rates and cost models.
Joinery
To provide our customers with a fast and quality solution, our in-house joinery department produces a wide array of windows and doors.
For bespoke client requirements, we also manufacture custom-made furniture items with a wide range of specialist finishes. Recent projects include reception counters, pub and restaurant bars and boardroom tables.
All of our timber is procured from sustainable sources by our workshop manager.
